Heat recover steam generorators (HRSG) are heat exchangers that recover heat from a hot gas stream. They produce steam that can be used in a process or used to drive a steam turbine. A typical use for an HRSG is in a combined-cycle power station where the hot exhaust from a gas turbine is fed to an HRSG to produce steam which is used to drive a steam turbine.
