Science

The science of the mineral scale formation is mature and well understood. Higher temperature at the heat transfer surface shifts the carbonate equilibrium causing hard water deposits. The AquaMAX 2.0 system utilizes the well-known process of "Carbonate Precipitation" to reduce the concentration of scale forming compounds in recirculating water.
How It Works
AquaMAX 2.0 removes hard water compounds electrolytically in the reaction chamber before deposits can form on heat transfer surfaces. Inside the Reaction Chamber:
- Cathode: precipitates calcium carbonate reducing the hardness salts and deposition potential in the water.
- Anode: produces a small but constant level of chlorine from the chlorides in the water that very effectively controls microbial growth in the cooling system.
- Hard water: deposits are removed from the wall of the reaction chamber and by the custom filtration system.
