Crown's practice of using an objective balance of chemicals and equipment provides our Water Management Specialists with a greater understanding of how chemical and physical technologies can be combined to optimize and protect our client's systems. Complete water treatment systems can be custom-designed, developed, engineered, manufactured, installed (turnkey), commissioned, operated, and managed by Crown. This allows our clients to focus their often limited resources on core business activities.

Best Practices Evaluation (BPE)
Best Practices Evaluations can be conducted to assess water systems relative to the specific current best practices for water treatment. By design, a BPE is more comprehensive and detailed than a general survey and can require several man-days to complete. With Crown's toolbox of cutting-edge technologies and practices, the ultimate solutions to maximize system and economic efficiencies are presented.
Water Strategy Development (WSD) and Preliminary/Final Engineering
Crown has extensive experience and resources to develop water strategies and conduct preliminary and final engineering.
- Executive summary of available water management alternatives to include a spreadsheet comparing alternatives consisting of capital cost, O&M costs and the long-term potential for good results and compliance.
- Process Flow Diagram(s) representing the recommended scheme(s) and either a mass balance spreadsheet included in the flow diagram(s).
- Preliminary engineered cost estimate (installed basis) for the recommended strategy.
- O&M calculations and support documentation for the recommended treatment scheme.
- Footprint dimensions on recommended systems and assistance creating general arrangement layout drawings.
- General Arrangement Plan(s) of water management assets
- Motor lists and I/O estimates for control systems.
- Supporting the creation of a Control Architecture Diagram (CAD).
- Drawings shall be provided in 3D AutoCAD or Adobe.
Training
Training is essential to implementing the water solutions resulting from BPE and WSD work. Crown can provide full training programs on operation and maintenance for all water treatment programs including system management, chemistries, and equipment. Training services can be provided by a Crown account representative through a combination of literature reviews, classroom-style training, and on-the-job, hands-on training in the plant.
Crown is committed to the concept of training as an essential operational ingredient for optimum performance and safe operation. Crown is also committed to the concepts of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting training for optimum performance and equipment life. Crown performs training co-currently with commissioning and performance testing of new systems. Training material can be covered including all water treatment chemistries and process equipment supplied by Crown. Topics may include:
Water management (including pretreatment, steam generation, condensate, process cooling, HVAC cooling, and waste water and WWT recovery/reuse)
- Chemical applications
- Environmental & safety
- Process control
- Operational sequence
- Operational control
- Analytical control
- Cleaning and regeneration
- Maintenance and troubleshooting
- Repairs and warranty processes
